Count layers before comparing bids
A proposal that assumes one layer is not equivalent to a proposal that includes two or more layers. Ask what happens if another layer is discovered.
Material type changes handling
Asphalt shingles, tile, wood products and metal do not have the same weight, fastening or disposal profile.
Access is a real cost driver
A dumpster beside a one-story roof is a different job from a steep multi-story house with restricted driveway access. Long carry distances and protection of pools, glass or landscaping add work.
